Story Overview
Bellboy is a TV series that leaps into the hidden class divides of London’s luxury hospitality sector. The story unfolds through the highly observant perspective of Jez, a 21-year-old hotel porter who uses a plastered-on, professional smile as armour against the eccentric, often monstrous guests he is forced to accommodate.
The series juxtaposes the gilded, Roaring ’20s aesthetic of The Royale Hotel with the neurotic, chaotic reality of its patrons. As Jez navigates neurotic American billionaires, secretive escorts, and a terribly insecure manager, his strict code of inconspicuousness is shattered.
Blending rapid-fire, satirical dialogue with the underlying tension of a heist narrative, Bellboy offers a biting commentary on wealth, servitude, and the masks people wear to survive the modern class system.
